I have always had my own space. I've rented studios in Ballarat, and am now working in my purpose-built studio at home. It is separate, private, in the bush and quiet - except for the birds, koalas, and the music. I like to have my own work area - the privacy and time to develop ideas without interruption. I need a large studio because I often make my own stretchers, prepare canvases, and use the space to spread the work around.
